A river runs through our humble valley here in Dillon, Montana: The Jefferson, wide and life-giving for the people and animals who call this area home. Our fourth generation sheep ranch, like countless other family agricultural operations in our valley, could not operate without its cold, deep waters. A few miles to the east, The Jefferson collides with the Madison and the Gallatin Rivers, fusing to become the Headwaters of The Missouri, the nation’s longest river flowing all the way through North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri before joining the Mississippi in St. Louis. At the confluence of where history and modern craftsmanship intersect, we’ve teamed up with Sandlot Goods in Kansas City - nestled on the Missouri River, nurtured by the very same waters our Merino sheep drink - to create a unique, vintage-inspired wool ballcap. This cap isn’t just another piece of headwear: It’s an homage to the days when American-made wasn’t just a label, rather a way of life.

Crafted from Melton wool, this ballcap blends durability and comfort with a classic design. The vintage-inspired ram's head patch boldly highlights our roots in agriculture and wool production. A leather strap closure ensures a tailored fit, while the satin green underside of the bill adds a nostalgic pop of color, harkening back to the days of finely made baseball caps.

The Heritage Wool Ballcap stands as a bridge between past and present, celebrating the enduring values of integrity, pride, and quality that define true American craftsmanship.

BALLCAPS - American made baseball hats

We’re not trying to toot our own horn here, but we like to think our partnership with an American made ball cap producer out on the West Coast has resulted in some very cool designs, celebrating everything from our USA made Merino Wool layer supply chain to our Montana ranch roots.

Reviews

"The strap is a nice touch but if you have a small head like myself, im a 7 to 7 1/8 and unfortunately theirs a lot of extra slack in the strap which carries over the side and looks awkward on me. If you have a big head then it wont effect you as bad. Great quality just not for me. I wish there was a place to hide or tuck it somewhere 🤷🏼‍♂️"

Great cap!

"Super comfy without the normal break in period! Great Duckworth quality and matches my style. The hat is deep enough for my big head and has become one of my go to everyday hats 👍"

Glad I got!

"Got the dark blue heritage wool ballcap, loved it so got the gray. Worn during long days into very chilly nights in mountains and desert. Blocked high wind. Temp regulates well--not too warm in the daytime. Really comfortable and stays on. Fits my large head and thick hair with even a D. W. powder beanie under it when below 45. Not a plug. I wear the hell out of that beanie. I like the longish brim--kept the sun well out of my eyes. Will keep these caps for years and glad I got. Thinking of gettin' my sister and her husband each one for Christmas."
